Systems Integration Engineer

Key Role:

Support the modernization and integration of complex Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) mission applications and infrastructure components. Maintain responsibility for the design, implementation, and integration of software system and system-of-systems solutions using a wide variety of tools and technologies that enable agile development, open architectures, continuous integration, and rapid deployment. Analyze and comprehend current client requirements, engineering processes, and AF DCGS environments, systems, and capabilities. Perform gap analysis to identify process and tool integration needs, system dependencies and integration points, system interfaces, and data flows. Use system engineering processes to assess opportunities for interoperability and horizontal integration of enterprise systems and system of systems. Recommend and document integration and interoperability standards and best practices. Assist with the development, execution, and sustainment of agile engineering processes to facilitate the planning, integration, testing, and deployment of multiple patches, upgrades, and new capabilities developed by multiple vendors across multiple environments.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with systems engineering or a related discipline

-3+ years of experience with large system-of-system (SoS) integrations

-Experience with industry or government interoperability standards and technologies

-Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

-Knowledge of one object-oriented programming language and SOA and Cloud computing concepts, including implementation

-Knowledge of SDLC processes and tools and Agile or SCRUM processes, including Agile or SAFe certifications

-Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials

-Ability to think critically and analytically in an enterprise and systems-of-systems environment

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Open Architecture concepts and patterns

-Experience with DoD, IC, and AF Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) systems

-Experience with DCGS

-Experience with industry life cycle management processes, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

-Experience in DoD, Homeland Security, and other US government clients

-Knowledge of rapid deployment methodologies and best practices

-Knowledge of Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) components and processes

-Possession of excellent client-facing skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in a technical or engineering field
