Research & Development Integrated Space Experiments (RISE) contract supports the Air Force Research Laboratory's Space Vehicles Directorate, Integrated Experiments and Evaluation Division (AFRL/RVE). RVE's mission is to conduct innovative research and development of ground, high-altitude balloon, near-space, and spaceflight experiments.
The RISE contract provides the Government the required research, engineering, and technical management for performing space technology concept development, analysis, development, integration, experimentation, demonstration, and evaluation in support of the AFRL/RV mission.
Team Millennium is seeking Systems Engineers that determines research approach given customer needs and requirements; researches, investigates and gathers system, sub-system, historical, and technical information and performance data under limited supervision in order to prepare reports, briefings, and presentations. Examines and evaluates system, historical, and technical information to formulate present and potential mission requirements. Identifies performance and operational issues and recommends modifications of system designs through written reports, briefings, or analyses in light of mission requirements and competing systems. Develops effectiveness measures including systems need, environment, constraints, and operations concepts. Draws conclusions and verifies computational and quantitative analysis. Compiles summaries and reports for customer representatives and answers technical questions regarding project scheduling and work requirements. Prepares charts and graphs as supporting data; edits and rewrites reports and narrative for technical accuracy; and interacts with customer representatives concerning the status of assigned tasks. Recommends personnel resources and labor requirements for proper project performance. Uses computer modeling to perform mathematical computations and failure analysis.
