ResponsibilitiesSeeking a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Beltsville, MD. The qualified applicant will become part of the Windows Active Directory Operations Team to support the Department of State (DoS). The operations team provides 24x7x365 monitoring and control of the unclassified and classified networks connecting DoS facilities worldwide. All candidates must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides Tier 2-3 support on a multi-domain structure for global enterprise and remote management of Active Directory Domain Services, domain controllers, DNS, objects in AD, including backup, recovery and restoration of objects.
- Build, patch, maintain, and decommission domain controllers and other Windows server assets in person and remotely, in physical and virtual environments.
- Provides daily, close coordination with world-wide customers, other tiers of support and remotes sites.
- Provides technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems.
- Determines and develops approach to solutions.
- Ensures system uptime and availability.
- Provides timely and clear, written and verbal communications and reports to management.
- Development and maintenance of Standing Operating Procedures
Shift:
Swing Shift, 3pm-11pm, Tuesday thru Saturday (40 hours per week)
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Must possess a demonstrated proficiency in administering and monitoring Active Directory and Windows Domain Controllers, and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Must possess a proficiency in the use and creation of PowerShell scripts.
- Must possess experience with management of enterprise DNS.
- Must possess extensive troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Possess strong analytical skills.
- Must possess drive, enthusiasm and attention to detail.
- Must be customer focused and possess the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must hold a current Top Secret Clearance.

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
