Senior Systems Administrator to support the ongoing design, implementation, operation and security of the network and the supporting securityinfrastructure.

Background:

The Sr. Systems Administrator will function as part of the technology team, Infrastructure Group, to maintain and monitor day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure. The IT infrastructure is comprised of a mixed environment of Microsoft Windows and Enterprise Linux servers, all primarily virtualized with VMware, NetApp SAN and cloud technologies (Azure). The environment is fast-paced and complex.

Requirements:

•Serve as part of the technology team (Infrastructure Group);

•Maintain and monitor day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure;

•Help and perform monitoring, maintenance, and reporting IT infrastructure (physical, virtual and cloud);

•Perform OS and application upgrades of servers and network upkeep;

•Manage the entire infrastructure, including systems design, performance analysis, development operations, monitoring and troubleshooting;

•Help manage a mixed environment of Microsoft Windows and Enterprise Linux servers, all primarily virtualized with VMware, NetApp SAN and cloud technologies (Azure);

•Be a key contributor in supporting the organizations development teams through the use of DevOps tools and shall contribute in application support roles for production deployments;

•Identify network / system problems, and recommend improvements to ensure optional performance;

•Design, administration and support of Cisco UCS infrastructure and Dell Power Edge servers;

•Design and administration of VMware Infrastructure including full integration with SAN for VMotion based DR using VMware DRS & HA;

•Active directory service management and operational stability and maintenance;

•Design and build solutions utilizing on-premise computer, networking, and storage technologies using Azure cloud;

•Monitor security measures in place within network perimeter, ensuring security breaches do not occur and information is safeguarded from unauthorized access;

•Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of complex technical issues, responding with an appropriate sense of urgency to problems escalated to network / system engineer's level;

•Coordinate with appropriate personnel to determine positive solutions that increase end user satisfaction, following through to completion, and communicating resolution results;

•Escalate to management any situation that could adversely impact the service provided to the end user;

•Monitor trends in documented incidents and determine appropriate actions necessary to eliminate future occurrences and improve customer service levels in an appropriate timeframe;

•Provide network design services;

•Coordinate with the Technical Infrastructure Group staff to establish the scope, timing and technical approach to be used for proposed network changes;

•Ensure adherence to network / system policies and procedures; and

•Manage production and disaster recovery of network / system.

The Senior Systems Administrator shall at a minimum have the following qualifications:

•Ability to improve system quality regarding any degradation;

•Ability to enhance security and knowledge of the latest securitythreats, worms, and malware and advise on how to deter them;

•Ability to provide better reliability of the systems through the above actions;

•Ability to recommend improvements to increase or maintain network / system throughput;

•Experience with storage infrastructure (NetApp Storage) and technologies include virtualization/arrays, FC/FCOE, NFS, ISCSI;

•Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity processes and tools needed;

•Experience building large scale, multi-site networkarchitectures;

•Knowledge of network / system based and system-level attacks and mitigation methods;

•Ability to configure and operate networksecurity focused monitoring and logging systems;

•Networking and application scalability experience;

•A bachelor's degree;

Technical knowledge required:

•Network infrastructure / Switching: Cisco Catalyst switches 9000/ 4000 / 6500 /3800, Nexus 5600/5000/2000 series switches, and Gigabit Ethernet;

•LAN/WAN: TCP/IP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, CDP, IP Routing, Frame Relay, Multi-Layer Switching, ACL's, NAT MPLS VPNs, 802.1q, ISL, Ether Channel, Multicast, SNMP, IPSec, and DHCP;

•Applications and Monitoring – Azure, O365, Active Directory, Storsimple, Secure Copy, F5, SolarWinds, Wire Shark, Splunk, AD Audit, AD Manager, CISCO UCS, and VMware SRM

•Operating Systems: Windows Server 2106/ 2012/2008 and Windows 7/10 Linux. VMware ESXi 6.0

•Security: Cisco Firepower (Next generation firewall), Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ISE 2.0 and above (Identity Services Engine), Cisco NGFW (Next generation Firewall), Cisco AMP (Advance Malware Protection), Cisco Firepower - Integrated Security Threat Defense, IDS - Intrusion Detection System, IPS - Intrusion Prevention System, and Cisco ASA 55xx;

Certifications required:

•Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

•Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)

Experience required:

•VMware minimum of five years

•Cisco minimum of five years

•Security minimum of five years

•Application Monitoring minimum of five years

•Network Infrastructure minimum of eight years

•Cloud Application / Infrastructure three years

Other details:

•Tour of duty: 7:00 AM thru 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Entitled to a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch break and two (2) fifteen (15) minute unpaid breaks. The fifteen (15) minute breaks shall be taken one (1) in the morning and (1) in the afternoon.

•May require work on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) or Holidays, as needed.\
