This position is in the Subcontract Requirements Engineering (SRE) Function within Phantom Works (PW) Systems Engineering (SE). The SRE has responsibility for developing, preparing, coordinating, and maintaining significant portions of the Buy-to-Packages imposed on Boeing Subcontractors to include the Supplier Statements of Work and Supplier Data Requirements Lists.
The SRE must work closely with multiple disciplines to establish the subcontractor technical, management and data requirements necessary to support the applicable Boeing programmatic, technical, and prime contract requirements. SRE personnel are responsible for the development of the technical elements of the Subcontract Request for Proposal (RFP). Specific RFP and proposal evaluation responsibilities include preparation of Bidder's Instructions; evaluation of the technical, management, and cost sections of supplier proposals; and support of the resulting supplier negotiations including data gathering and information discovery at supplier facilities. Preparation of material requisitions is also required.

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
The SRE must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate should have experience conducting proposal fact-finding, evaluation and negotiation of a Supplier's proposal. This person must have demonstrated excellent performance in a team oriented environment. Demonstration of successful continuous improvement activities is desired. Experience directly related with supplier relationships/management is preferred. Current Secret clearance is not required, but preferred.
