The Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for level II and tier III support on Mobile Devices, Personal Computing, Networking, and services for E. & J. Gallo Winery, globally.  This includes designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting service for the entire enterprise network. Diagnose hardware problems, replace hardware components as necessary and/or place service calls for hardware under maintenance.  Identify software problems and resolve end user questions. This includes providing assistance in use of hardware, operating systems and applications for complex projects. Assist corporate and business unit users in evaluating, deploying, and supporting our mobile and wireless users and environment. Works with and coordinates wireless support vendors, deals directly with multiple carriers, and our customers users (including in person 'white-glove' support to our on-site Executives). The role is also responsible to help identify, analyze, document and manage the implementation of both short term tactical as well as longer term strategic solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and service quality.

What You Will Do

Daily Operations Support

  • Order, procure and provision platforms.  Troubleshoot both mobile OS’s to include mail, contacts and calendars
  • Backup, restore and migrate data via client and cloud services
  • Knowledge of application configuration to include Apps@Work, iTunes and Google Play
  • Mobile Device Management operations
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software on both platforms 
  • Replace hardware and migrate data onsite 
  • Knowledge of approved applications and third-party software with assisting in migrating data for these programs
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot home office Wi-Fi and extenders along with onsite network issues, knowledge of topology networks and configurations to demarcation points
  • Support and administer the Unified Communications Systems - Video, WebEx, Jabber and Spark
  • Write internal/external training manuals, KB articles, FAQ’s and train computer users
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), UCS, inform and liaise with relevant Wide Area Networks (WAN) teams when issues arise
  • Respond to tickets from customers seeking IT help
  • Consult with IT support and design departments to make sure that network expansion projects are in line with the company’s plans

What You Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering or Business Administration plus 1 year information systems experience – OR – a Bachelor's degreeplus 3 years information systems experience reflecting increasing levels of experience – OR – 6 years of information systems experience including a high school diploma or GED reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary
  • Required to be on-call for remote or on-site after hours work
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MAC desktop operating systems
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS Excel at an intermediate level
  • Required to lift or move up to 75 pounds

  • Cisco IP Telephony, Unified Communications
  • Cisco WebEx and an overall understanding of web and audio conferencing
  • Windows 7, 10, Office 365 and Office 2013 or above
  • Macintosh OS X El Capitan, Sierra or above
  • Repair a variety of Mac/PC hardware
  • Basic understanding of PCs and Macs as it relates to enterprise environment
  • Service Now basics for ticket updating and managing is preferred but not required
  • Proven technical trouble shooting and diagnostic skills and reporting/updating management
  • CompTIA Certifications A+, Security+
