Description


The individuals primary function is to leading failure investigations to determine the root cause of failures and initiate corrective actions to preclude further failures; and maintain strong communication between other program team members and customers. As a secondary function the individual will also provide reliability assurance on new design and existing design hardware. This includes the assessment of hardware designs to assure reliability commensurate with the product application and to provide design recommendations for reliability improvements; evaluating hardware failure mechanisms to assure safe operation; evaluating hardware/software interactions to assure safe and proper operation under all possible conditions; perform quantitative assessment of component, subsystem, and system reliability; perform reliabilitytrade studies to determine hardware requirements necessary to achieve the desired system reliability. 

May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. 

Basic Qualifications: 

? Must have a BA degree preferably in Electrical Engineering field 

? Prior experiencesupporting inertial navigation systems 

? Must have Electrical Engineering background 

? 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. 

? Must be a US Citizen only
