Job Summary and QualificationsJOB SUMMARY
Provide technical skills that cover a broad range of disciplines and/or a particular technical discipline that is of significance to HCA. Identity any potential performance issues on storage and compute platforms. Perform any technical project assigned with minimal supervision and able to balance work from home and job related duties. Identify, investigate, evaluate and become proficient in new technologies and technical disciplines that are of significance to HCA Healthcare. Specific responsibilities include infrastructure performance monitoring at the platform level, reporting platform performance metrics, capacity planning and infrastructure right sizing, troubleshooting application performance issues at the platform level, application health checks at the platform level.
AREA OF EXPERIENCE
- Must have 3-7 years of experience in deploying technically complex infrastructure computing and/or storage solutions across platforms and components.
- Specific platform knowledge in one or more key areas including VMware VSphere, Dell/EMC, Pure, Nutanix, Cloud technologies including: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Support and understanding of Storage Platforms such as Dell/EMC PowerMAX, VMAX, Unity, Isilon, PowerScale, Pure Technologies, NetApp, and Nutanix very desirable.
- Experience with Performance and Capacity application technologies, such as, Turbonomic, Virtana VirtualWisdom, Dell/EMC Unisphere and CloudIQ, Pure1 Manager, NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager is highly desirable.
- Experience with Automation technologies highly desirable, including using: API constructs, JSON development, PowerShell and PowerBI toolset.
- Capacity Management and Optimization mindset is required.
- Proven track record of project delivery results.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
After-hours work will be required occasionally. Possible prolonged sitting at workstation. Work from Home. No on-call.
