Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

At SNC’s ISR, Aviation and Security (IAS) team we are a leading manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for high-performance intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and aviation systems. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations and provide a turnkey approach to enable our customers to focus on their mission.

The Cyber Programs team primarily develops Binary Armor technology, a cross platform embedded software suite used in a wide range of programs. Join our team to help protect Internet of Things systems and critical infrastructure.

Must-haves:

Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
Experience with packet capture and analysis tools (Wireshark)
Have a full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, virtual machines and software applications
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

Experience with 5G technology and architectures
Experience in Linux and embedded systems
Experience or certification with Cisco equipment and services
Thorough understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 networking stacks
Ability to apply theoretical understanding of IP networks to practical implementation
Experience in fault isolation and resolution in complex networked environments
In-depth knowledge and experience with VPN tunnels (IPsec, OpenVPN, Wireguard)
Thorough understanding of the HTTP protocol
Thorough understanding of certificate-based encryption over TLS
Experience communicating directly with customers as a technical consultant
Operational Technology (OT) experience especially with SCADA protocol and control systems
Experience with software product lifecycle development
Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
Background in the Cybersecurity Industry
