Position Overview     
Secure Wireless and Access Technologies SE
 
The access technologies solutions specialist will carry a quota based on a suite of access technology products including, wireless access points, secure switching, Fortiextender, Fortiauthenticator, and Forticlient/EMS.  The systems engineer specialist will be assigned a geographic territory and will be chartered to help drive sales in the territory.
 
The SWAT systems engineer is an overlay position in 2017. The systems engineer will work closely with the Fortinet field organization including channel account systems engineers, vertical market account system engineers and major account systems engineers.
The SWAT system engineer is responsible for working with the Fortinet field sales specialist to focus on a set of accounts based on criteria set by vertical markets and account selection by the Fortinet field salesperson.
 
Working together with the Fortinet field systems engineers, the SWAT systems engineer will support technical sales efforts in a targeted list of installed base opportunities and prospective accounts and will directly support new and installed accounts.
 
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience as a wireless and switching network systems engineer is required. A minimum of 5 years supporting sales of networking access equipment and an in depth understanding of network access technologies is required. Experience in supporting security networking equipment is highly desirable.
 
Reporting:
The SWAT systems engineer will report directly to the SE manager for the territory. This position requires daily interaction with the field sales team members to communicate account status and relay progress.
