What You'll Get to Do:
The Contractor shall work closely with other contractor developers, systems engineers, and requirements analysts. The Contractor shall create and maintain technical documentation such as briefings for Peer Review & Engineering Review Boards, Standard Operating Procedures, ICD 503 compliant System Security Plans, and architecture diagrams. The Contractor shall design and integrate remote WIDS solutions into a large scale network. The Contractor shall conduct RF surveys. The Contractor shall test and evaluate WIDS tools for interoperability with existing infrastructure. The Contractor shall plan for WIDS tools deployment and transition to O&M. The Contractor shall build and maintain the secure WIDS infrastructure.
The Contractor shall conduct research and development (R&D) to evolve the Wireless & WIDS service. The Contractor shall evaluate R&D results for use in the Wireless & WIDS service. The Contractor shall identify project tasks for transition to enterprise service providers. The Contractor shall train enterprise service providers on selected project tasks. The Contractor shall transition selected project tasks to enterprise service providers. The Contractor shall monitor and resolve issues specific to the wireless infrastructure in a timely fashion.
The Contractor shall elicit Mobility and Wireless requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and other teams. The Contractor shall translate requirements into enterprise solutions. The Contractor shall participate in technical exchange meetings with vendors. The Contractor shall have, or develop, a working knowledge of the Sponsor's Systems Development Lifecycle. The Contractor shall provide Tier 1 through Tier 4 IT support for the Sponsor's Wireless & Intrusions Network Infrastructure. The Contractor shall demonstrate working knowledge of the interconnectivity between Information Systems (for example WIDS Architecture) & IT management tools (for example Splunk). The Contractor shall write test plans in collaboration with the Sponsor project manager and team lead. The Contractor shall review test plans with the Sponsor project manager and team lead.
More About the Role:
The Sponsor requires a team that will perform Engineering, Operations & Maintenance, and Research & Development for the Sponsor's Wireless Network & Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) Infrastructures which are a combination of COTS hardware and software. The effort involves the design and implementation of solutions to support the Wireless Network and WIDS infrastructures requirements. The work will include RF Surveying, Security Accreditation, supporting Operations & Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement of the Wireless Network and WIDS infrastructures. The work also entails the Development & Maintenance of a lab environment for testing. Work priorities will be managed by the Sponsor project manager or Sponsor team lead.
