Shaw’s Service Automation team builds cutting-edge solutions that support one of the leading floor covering companies in the world. The successful candidate for this position will be part of Shaw’s Information Services department on the IT Services, Service Automation team. This position is primarily responsible for Building Customer Satisfaction by creating business solutions that automate business processes. This will be accomplished by working directly with team leads to plan and design solutions, building all aspects of the solutions design, conducting internal testing, bug fixing and regression testing, and finally, ensuring the approved solution is deployed into the customer's production environment.
Candidates for this position must possess good development, technical and communication skills, be very knowledgeable of Object Oriented (OO) design concepts and patterns, andhave an extensive familiarity with web technologies.
In this role, the Service Automation Systems Engineerworks closely with the team leads, other developers and analyst on the team in a collaborative environment. You will seek to create new solutions, enhance existing solutions and fix problems with existing solutions that help drive results for our customers.

The position will be located at plant 26 in Dalton, GA. but is also Eligible for remote working three days a week after a training period and acceptable performance.
Writing code will be the primary daily responsibility for the individual filling this position along with some automation scripting. This code will need to appropriately leverage a variety of technologies and languages, including AngularJS, Bootstrap, WebAPI, Code First Entity Framework, LINQ, and ASP.NET utilizing the C# programming language. In addition to the daily writing of code, the analysis of business requirements, verbal discussion of the desired design within the team and mentoring junior team members, will be necessary.
4 yeardegree in Computer Science, related Engineering field or relevant work experience
4+ years hands-on experience developing full-stack OO web solutions with C# and/or Java, utilizing SOAP / REST service integrations and SQL database backends
1 year hands-on experience with Code First Entity Framework or other ORM framework, LINQ, WebAPI, Test Driven Development (TDD), Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or other source control platform
Knowledge or familiarity with chatbot technologies like LUIS, BOT Framework, Dialogflow, Alexa
Passion for developing web based solutions that exceed customer expectations
Knowledgeable of secure development practices
Effective conducting moderately complex system requirements analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solution options with an attention to detail
Ability to break requests down into individual tasks and provide estimate work effort
Experience performing Project Managerresponsibilities on a small project (1-3 month work effort)
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with people at all levels of the corporation, in a clear and concise manner
