Description: A Systems Architect job in Washington, D.C. is currently available at Belcan Government Services. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor?s Degree & a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Belcan is seeking an experienced Senior System Architect to serve on a multi-disciplinary team that is creating models and visualizations for a complex system of systems architecture. You shall have demonstrated experience with various analytical methodologies and principles to include a combination of the following: mission analysis, CONOPS analysis, modeling, data visualization tools and techniques, measures of effectiveness, measures of performance, trade-off studies, capabilities planning and assessment, quantitative risk analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and decision analysis.
Systems Architect job duties:
? Support the development of models and data visualization products.
? Support the planning and execution of risk assessments and capabilities based analyses.
? Assist in the development of analytic studies and products including, but not limited to, gap analyses, operational requirements documentation, system performance metrics and assessments, trade-off studies, and cost-benefit analyses.
? Use analytic models and tools to work collaboratively with a large group of stakeholders to analyze a complex system of systems.
? Support preparations for, facilitation of, and reporting on stakeholder working group meetings. Give presentations on the findings and recommendations resulting from analyses. Brief senior leadership as well.
? Participate in technical meetings, workshops, conferences, elicitations, and in-process reviews, and capture SME comments for incorporation into analysis products.
? Perform technical reviews of deliverables and products as needed.
? Attend program reviews/site visits/field tests as requested.
? Active DoD SECRET security clearance and clearable to Top Secret; ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
? Minimum of a 10 years related work experience
? This position requires the ability to coordinate and interface across a broad stakeholder community ? superior interpersonal and written/oral communications a must.
? Ability to organize multiple tasks and prioritize assignments in a dynamic team environment and to perform assigned tasks with minimal guidance.
? High proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs especially Access, Visio, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
? PhD/MS/BS degree in scientific or engineering discipline.
? Familiarity with the Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) and associated front-end artifacts including Mission Needs Statements, Operational Requirements Documents, and Concepts of Operations.
? Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative risk methodologies, decision analysis, fault tree analysis, cost-benefit analysis, threat modeling and event tree modeling.
? Familiarity with architecture modeling methodologies as well as training and hands-on experience using COTS tools to develop DODAF-compliant architecture models as well as tailored data visualization products.
? Familiarity with nuclear physics, radiation detectors, materials science or radiological science.
? Familiarity with the training, exercise, planning, equipment acquisition and grant-related technical assistance programs available to state and local jurisdictions.
? Familiarity with National Security and Homeland Security Directives, the SAFE Port Act, and other homeland security related legislative actions.
