Position Description:

PSS, Inc. is actively seeking a Systems Architect who will be expected to support the development of cross-functional or large-scale automated information systems, including enterprise architectures. He/she will design system architectures, to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements, and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. He/she will also provide a comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance. The incumbent will also perform evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs.

 

Clearance Requirements:

TS/SCI or TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a government securityinvestigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship is required.)

 

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ systems architectureexperience with a high school/GED diploma, or an Associate of Arts degree with 8+ years’ experience, or 6+ years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years’ experience with a Master’s degree, or 2+ years’ experience with a PhD degree
  • Ability to follow established systems architecture, engineering and lifecycle processes and checklists
  • Ability to understand and apply more advanced systems architecture, development, engineering, and operations concepts
  • Experience researching and evaluating new systems architectural concepts and processes to improve performance
  • Experience working individually, actively participating on integrated teams, and leading multiple tasks, projects or teams
  • Ability to function with guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers only when dealing with new, uncertain situations
  • Experience developing new systems architectural concepts and processes
  • Experience analyzing root causes of systems architecture-related problems, and resolving issues
  • Experience analyzing cross-functional problem sets, identifying root causes and resolves issues
  • Ability to perform all tasks of lower-level systems architects, technicians, specialists, and/or managers
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to lower-level systems architects, technicians, specialists, and managers
  • Experience assisting more junior-level systems architects, technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities
  • Experience directing multiple teams through to project completion
  • Experience overseeing and monitoring performance, and when required, taking steps to resolve issues

  • Designing system architectures, to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements, and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
  • Providing comprehensive definitions of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance
  • Performing evaluation of system alternatives and assessment of risks and costs
  • Performing all tasks of lower-level systems architects, technicians or specialists
  • Providing guidance to lower-level system architects, technicians and specialists
  • Working individually, actively participating on integrated teams, and leading multiple tasks, projects or teams
  • Researching and evaluating new systems architectural concepts and processes to improve performance
  • Directing multiple teams through to project completion
  • Overseeing and monitoring performance, and when required, taking steps to resolve issues
