Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst, Experimentation & Training Integration Specialist to support the training and mission integration objectives of a Headquarters Element under an awarded contract. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing experimentation activities with partner organizations to support operational objectives and whole-of-society effects.

The ideal candidate brings experience in training integration, operational experimentation, emerging technology evaluation, and partner engagement across military, civilian, and industry environments. This individual will help identify, assess, and advance opportunities to field and integrate new capabilities-including joint fires, Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), and other emerging technologies-to strengthen mission effectiveness, resilience, and regional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Experimentation Planning & Execution
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute experimentation activities with partner organizations in support of training objectives and mission outcomes.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to field-test emerging technologies and operational capabilities, including joint fires and IAMD.
  • Support experimentation events that inform future operational concepts, capability development, and mission readiness.
  • Help align experimentation activities with broader headquarters priorities and regional mission objectives.
Technical Exchange & Industry Engagement
  • Facilitate technical exchanges with government, military, commercial, academic, and industry stakeholders.
  • Engage industry partners to identify innovative solutions and relevant emerging technologies.
  • Support collaboration across organizations to accelerate capability awareness, assessment, and adoption.
Capability Development & Integration
  • Assess emerging technologies and capabilities for potential integration into training and operational environments.
  • Support structured evaluation, feedback collection, and lessons learned from experimentation activities.
  • Recommend improvements and integration pathways for technologies that enhance operational effectiveness and resilience.
Advisory Support
  • Serve as a subject matter resource to leadership and mission partners on experimentation, training integration, and capability development.
  • Provide recommendations on experimentation outcomes, operational relevance, and integration priorities.
  • Support planning and decision-making with analytical insights and mission-focused advice.
Collaboration, Reporting & Documentation
  • Collaborate with military, civilian, and industry stakeholders to ensure experimentation efforts support mission priorities.
  • Prepare briefings, reports, after-action summaries, and decision-support materials for leadership.
  • Maintain clear documentation of experimentation activities, findings, recommendations, and follow-on actions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Operations Research, Defense Studies, National Security, International Affairs, Program Management, or a related field.
  • Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in experimentation, training integration, operational planning, capability development, defense consulting, or mission support.
  • Experience supporting combatant commands, service components, special operations, joint organizations, or headquarters staffs.
  • Knowledge of operational experimentation, technology transition, capability assessment, and training support processes.
  • Experience preparing senior-level briefings, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with joint fires, IAMD, mission engineering, operational test concepts, wargaming, modeling and simulation, or related mission areas.
  • Active TOP SECRET/SCI eligibility or access strongly preferred, subject to contract requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Operations Research, National Security Strategy, Defense Analysis, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operational planning, mission integration, systems engineering, or HQ-level defense support.
  • Experience supporting INDOPACOM, SOCPAC, Joint Staff, service component commands, interagency coordination, or theater campaign planning.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools.
  • Experience developing or maintaining operational pictures, mission dashboards, COPs, or decision-support environments.
  • Experience with wargaming, campaign analysis, force design, capability integration, or experimentation.
  • Knowledge of security cooperation, partner integration, and civilian-military coordination in the Indo-Pacific or similar theater environments.
  • Experience supporting contract deliverables in a U.S. Government or defense contractor setting.
  • Professional certificates such as, INCOSE ASEP or CSEP, PMP, CAP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. DoD Acquisition / Systems Engineering credentials (e.g., DAWIA/Back-to-Basics where applicable), Prosci Change Management Certification, ITIL Foundation.
Relevant Professional Military Education (PME) - Preferred

For candidates with military or government planning backgrounds, the following PME is highly desirable:
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I or II.
  • Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or service equivalent.
  • School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), SAASS, or equivalent advanced planning education.
  • Service War College or equivalent senior-level PME.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
