The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.
Design, develop, implement and support technical solutions to support applications used throughout Allina. Participate and or lead projects. Participate on an on-call support team which provides after hours support to customers. Consult with other team members in estimating and sizing technology projects. Consult with technical, functional, and vendor resources to maintain the appropriate application environments. Install, configure, test, support and monitor information systems to meet requirements and technical specifications. Manage system interfaces. Work with software vendors in the diagnosis and resolution of and application problems. Apply patches and fixes as appropriate. Provide information system support and troubleshooting. Key resource with the vendors on applications supported for items related to the application software and hardware functionality. Acts independently under general direction. Top level technical expert in one or more areas of application systems analysis. Develops or reviews more complex or larger data processing systems and procedures. Under general direction, formulates/defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Monitors the performance of production systems and recommends and develop means for improvement. Prepares detailed technical specifications from which program will be written. Analyzes and revises existing system documentation. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts. Often has contact with other departments concerning the design of new or revised applications and systems. Has good understanding of the business or function for which application is designed. Able to write effective reports and documentation for review by management and non-technical end-users. Effective presentation skills with management and end users. Provides technical advice and training to other systems professionals and users.
