Job Description

The Systems Administrator will perform duties for the Program Management Office (PMO) closed restricted network (CRN) which inlcudes, but not limited to:

  • Design, build, and manage domain controlled CRNs
  • Install and configure Army Gold Master images for Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 workstations
  • Install and configure applications and peripherals
  • Ensure technical compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation

Guides (STIGS)

  • Install and configure system level and application updates/patches
  • Manage and respond to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs)
  • Vulnerability management and scanning
  • User account and access control management (Active Dircetory, LDAP, Likewise, Centrify)
  • Plan of actions and milestone (POA&M) creation and management

The Systems Administrator will perform IT support duties for the PMO which includes but not limited to:

  • Provide First level user support and troubleshooting of IT issues
  • Input and Coordinate Information System Owner (ISO) Help Desk requests for PMO users
  • Troubleshooting, upgrading, coordination, and maintain PMO IT inventory
  • Provide IT related consultation to the PMO Cyber Security and IT Lead
  • Author technical papers and develop briefing presentations

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or similar discipline
  • Must be DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II or III certified
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

Required Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience System Administration in a DoD or Government setting
  • Experience with administration of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016)
  • Experience with administration of Linux Operating System (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL))
  • Experience with compliance of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS)
  • Experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs)
  • Experience developing Plans of actions and milestone (POA&Ms)
  • Experience with antivirus/anti-malware utilities
  • Experience with operating systems life cycle management and configuration management (backup/restore, system imaging etc.)
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Requirements.
