Job Duties and Responsibilities

ManTech is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support our operations in San Diego, CA.

General Responsibilities:

    Ensure systems are stable and availability is maintained.
    Might be called in the late evening or on a weekend to troubleshoot and make systems available. Time compensation will be provided.
    Swap hardware, update software, and make configuration changes as required by the Sr. Systems Analyst or Assistant Technical Director.
    Perform other technical or administrator tasking as assigned by the supervisor or as the situation dictates.

Minimal Skills Requirements:

    Experience with ESX(i), VMware vSphere and VMware cloud computing products including installation, configuration, development, and troubleshooting of virtualized lab environments.
    Department of Defense (DoD) network experience.
    Experience in server administration, security component networking, operating system administration, enterprise firewall security systems, and router administration.
    Experience with patching, upgrading, and backing up DoD systems.
    Demonstrated ability to install hardware, replace parts, and diagnose faults.
    Meets equivalence or better of Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 Certification.
    Experience with virtual storage management.
    Experience in Linux and Windows operating systems.


Other Skills Preferred:

    B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Systems, or Cybersecurity.

    DoD Level III Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Certified.

    Cloud and Systems Engineering.

    Experience in McAfee and Norton anti-virus and intrusion detection/protection software packages.

    Experience in Cisco and Juniper Routers, Firewalls, and Access Control Management to include Access Control Lists.

    Familiarity with the DoD certification and accreditation process(es), the PKI and RADIUS certification process, and unclassified encryption methods.

    Experience in McAfee and Norton anti-virus and intrusion detection/protection software packages.
