The Systems Administrator is responsible for analyzing, configuring, maintaining and repairing system servers and application components.  Will perform a wide variety of installation, evaluation, configuration and upgrading of servers. Will maintain related hardware to meet the company performance and user satisfaction.  A System Administrator provides investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software, and infrastructure.  This position recognizes potentials issues within the system, makes recommendations, and implements solutions for improvement.

Additional Details



  1. Complete configuration, installation, and support of Active Directory in a Microsoft Windows environment to the specifications of Almost Family.

  2. Design, implement, and monitor GPO policies to ensure high levels of security.

  3. Troubleshoot and resolve server related issues when contacted by internal clients by providing both on-site and remote support

  4. Security, server updates/patching.

  5. Utilize PowerShell scripting for custom utilities, system monitoring, and reporting

  6. Maintain software applications, operating systems, and regular maintenance

  7. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives

  8. Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support

  9. Supervise the administration of systems and servers to ensure availability of services to authorized users

  10. Any other duties as assigned by management


  1. 3 years of experience supporting medium sized businesses

  2. 3 years of experience in system administrative role

  3. Working knowledge of:

    1. Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 or above

    2. Active Directory

    3. Group Policy

    4. Exchange Administration

  4. Technical, analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills required

  5. Administrative knowledge of Windows Servers, workstations, MS Exchange, VMware, and other various software applications

  6. Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal

  7. Ability to work well with others, as well as independently

  8. Attention to detail

  9. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

  10. Must hold a valid driver’s license with no restrictions and possess reliable transportation

  11. The ability to bend, squat, crawl or climb, and lift up to 50 pounds

  12. Availability in response to needs of Almost Family internal customers for installation, maintenance and equipment malfunctions.
