Systems Administrator II

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a System Administrator to support a multi-domain enterprise infrastructure, hosting multiple operating systems including UNIX, Linux, and Solaris. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate the installation of new servers and storage devices and replace nonfunctioning hardware
• Manage system account modifications to include password resets, additions, and deletions
• Install application software; ensure ServiceNow is functioning properly and provide upgrades
• Clean up data spills in application data which requires physically deleting and/or moving data
• Perform development and production control activities such as data administration, data compression, data restores, reorganization of files, recovery of systems, production of reports, download/upload of information, setup and verification of files and programs
• Provide ad hoc reports that analyze performance issues and provide advice to address application high availability issues and requirements
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, optimizing system performance, and helping with future planning
• Baseline Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for ServiceNow

Qualifications

• BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
• System Administration experience including system internals, file system structures, design, and performance tuning at an enterprise level; backup recovery; testing methodologies; storage data replication; and DISA system hardening guidelines
• Proven experience in multiple operating systems such as Linux, UNIX, Solaris
• Experience administering the ServiceNow application
• Experience with ServiceNow on-premises implementations desired
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator required
• ITIL Foundation certification desired
• Must possess an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
