System Test Engineer, Junior

Key Role:

Provide hands-on manual testing experience and analytical expertise to work on a complex, custom coded, Web-based software application. Contribute individually and as a team to deliver expertise in a variety of software QA concepts, practices, and procedures. Demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Analyze, design, develop, and maintain test cases that verify approved requirements for assigned modules and document results. Conduct manual functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing and support user acceptance testing and report issues found during test lifecycle. Assist with software application troubleshooting and technical diagnosis.

Basic Qualifications:

-Ability to assess and comprehend system and functional requirements

-Ability to comprehend QA processes and follow QA process guidelines

-Ability to create and update test cases and perform requirements traceability to ensure all requirements are tested and accounted for

-Ability to work in a high–pressured environment and work both independently and as part of a team

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with system testing methodologies and system and software development life cycles

-Ability to be a team player and drive collaborative efforts to improve product quality

-Ability to display a sense of responsibility and a service–minded attitude

-Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines and changing priorities

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-BA or BS degree in Information Systems, CS, or a computer–related field
