EOIR Technologies, a Polaris Alpha company, is seeking a System Engineer to provide support to the Cruise Missile Defense Systems (CMDS) Project Office, located in Huntsville, AL.

Provide technical and engineering support

System Engineering, hardware redesign functions, and software engineering support for the total system integration or product engineering required for resolution of problems encountered throughout the program lifecycle. Tasks include special studies and investigations, design changes, integration and test support, troubleshooting, data acquisition, and analysis. Studies and investigations may involve the development and use of specialized simulations. These studies and investigations may also involve intelligence information and inputs to derive predicted weapon capabilities.

The recurring systems engineering support includes, but is not limited to: Engineering Services/ESM - Conduct non-repetitive investigations, inspection, analysis and corrective action, test or evaluation efforts that impact the software or hardware of the systems, their components, and configuration variants.

Support administrative tasks in processing mission critical documents

Maintain and update Technical Data Packages (TDP), including documentation release, design check, drafting, test equipment documentation maintenance, CDRL and non-CDRL deliveries, and Engineering Change Order (ECO) deliveries.

Prepare technical documentation changes that add to, delete, supersede, or modify engineering-documentation items submitted under previous contracts. These include, but are not limited to, lesson learned and drawing changes due to obsolescence issues, etc.

Document and implement a components and materials obsolescence management approach; monitor and evaluate both electronic components and material life cycle status.

Avenger Specific Support

Provide systems engineering support for Avenger fire unit. Currently supporting Avenger Modification Shelf Life Extension Program (SLEP) to update Avenger Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) to ensure Avenger maintains operational capabilities to Fiscal Year 2031.

Other SBS Stinger Support

Provide systems engineering support for Stinger Man Portable Air Defense System (MANPADS) to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases. Tasks include data collection, conducting non-repetitive investigations, test/evaluation efforts for Stinger hardware/software, and support the Safety & Suitability for Service (S3) Requirements as outlined in the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA). Currently funded for UK, Finland, Italy, Korea, Qatar, Egypt, and Iraq. Korea and Qatar represent systems engineering support for Stinger Air-to-Air Launcher (ATAL) support.

Required Skills

Requirements: BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 7 year’s missile experience, 3 to 5 years with MS/MA.
