System Application Analyst at Ohsu Healthcare in Portland, OR

Function/Duties of Position

This position is responsible for providing system support for the development, maintenance and enhancements for OHSU research systems. This support will include development and analysis support for several research applications supported by the Research Information Systems (RISx) team with varing system languages. System support includes supporting design, analysis and development for a variety of applications on various platforms and languages. In addition, the position works to provide technical recommendations for system design, report development, system requirement translation, and development of prioritized enhancements in order to meet the customers’ needs. This position will work closely with multiple system users and project managers in order to fully translate documented requirements, and business processes, into application code and functionality.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in computer science, a related field and two years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and four years work related experience in the information technology field; OR

Associate’s degree in computer science or related field and five years work related experience in the information technology field; OR

Six years work related experience in the information technology field; OR

Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

• 
  
• Two plus years of experience in web development, database development and design.
• 
  
• Two plus years of object oriented design and development.
• 
  
• Experience in designing, implementing and supporting new systems.
• 
  
• Experience using SDLC or like processes to manage projects
• 
  
• Experience in working with legacy databases and current systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MS-Access.
• 
  
• Experience with Click Commerce and PHP applications and tools - Process Studio, Entity Manager, and Site Designer
• 
  
• Experience supporting mission critical data-driven applications.
• 
  
• Experience providing desktop support, and functioning as a liaison between core technology group and the end user.

• Knowledge of the windows and Oracle development platforms.

• Demonstrated knowledge of static and data-driven web development utilizing Javascript, jQuery, PHP, CSS, C/C++, Visual Basic .Net, ASP.NET, (X)HTML, SQL, PL/SQL, and XML.
