Responsible for configuring, managing, and monitoring the Windows servers that provide the supporting infrastructure for the Epic database so end users can access the Epic client. Responsible for installing the Epic client, as well as any ancillary or web applications, and for ongoing maintenance, updates, and upgrades of client systems. These tasks are critical for meeting system uptime goals and achieving optimal system performance.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred. Five+ (5) years of equivalent work experience in-lieu of education will be considered. Obtains and maintains Epic certification in assigned application module.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in the deployment and management Microsoft systems.Certified Microsoft MCSE required.
Strong communication skills. The Epic client systems manager communicates with both technical and nontechnical teams about the system impact of infrastructure and application activities. Broad Functional knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and NT Infrastructure, network topologies and solutions architecture such as eDirectory Designs Architecture, Clustering, Web Services, Citrix, Terminal Services Printing, RAS (Remote Access Services), RADIUS, secure remote access, and corporate networksecurity solutions. Experience with EMC SAN Storage systems and EMC Control Center; familiarity with industrial best practices on network, data replication, security, and data exchange. Ability to configure server backups in TSM. Enterprise Architecture Design- Oracle, XML, and LDAP experience highly desired.
Extremely detail-oriented and able to follow standard methodologies for troubleshooting and development.
