Job Description :
Candidate is applying for an Integration and Test position within Distribution Technologies programs in Owego, NY. Experience with the testing of material handling systems and character recognition hardware and/or software is highly desired.
Candidate will be required to plan, budget, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of specific areas within an integrated system architecture or for an entire system.
Candidate will be the test point of contact, for assigned systems/subsystems, to the internal development team. This role also involves interfacing with the offsite customer.
Candidate should have a well rounded background.
Candidate must be able to synthesize Customer and LM programmatic needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Candidate will help define test input/output parameters and solve hardware/software interface problems. Candidate will be expected to understand System Requirements Documents, Interface Control Documents and Software Requirements Specifications.
Candidate will be required to help develop test certification documents for the Test Lead/Test Director as needed; examples are inputs to Product Test Verification (PTV) documents and Test Readiness Review packages.
Candidate will attend reviews as well as evaluate and derive requirements for testability. Candidate may be asked to aid in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for subsystems.
Candidate will be required to perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level proof of compliance reports that verify and validate system performance.
Candidate will be expected to write Trouble Reports to document issues and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Candidate will be required to document test activities in specified requirements databases, test logs, and test reports.
As a member of the Integration and Test department,responsibilities may also include support to Systems Integration and Test (SIT), Proof of Compliance (POC), system/scenario testing with data analysis, system regression testing, and training support.
Intermittent but significant extended travel to customer sites may be required.
- Candidate is required to have experience with integrated systems. Candidate should have one or more of the following traits: previous experience in similar role within Distribution Technologies, knowledge of material handling equipment
- operation and/or testing, knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment design/operation/testing. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- The candidate is required to work in a team environment, must be able to effectively communicate with a diverse team of engineers, leads,and managers. The candidate must have demonstrated leadership capability.
It is highly desirable for the candidate to have current knowledge of MST policies and procedures and prior experience working in Systems Integration & Test and be knowledgeable of associated process and procedures. It is highly desirable that the candidate have an understanding of network infrastructure.
