The System Director of Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics, and Reporting reports to the System Vice President of Operation Finance and will be the leader and visionary of cross operational teams that will be at the core of system wide data governance, analytics, business intelligence, and reporting. This leader is responsible for transforming business intelligence into action plans and desired results by leveraging internal and external systems and data that aid in developing and executing strategic business, clinical planning, and operational performance improvement initiatives system wide including hospital and ambulatory services, physician practices, and ventures. This position works collaboratively with all levels of leadership and staff throughout the system to provide strategic and analytical insights, to supportothers involved in strategic planning and business development, clinical and operational improvement, market research, and tracking and reporting on competitive and/or comparative intelligence.
Master's Degree Master's DegreeRequired. Must be a Degree with a data quantitative focus such: Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, or Decision Science. Five (5) years of experience in areas such as population health and financial analysis, working with and analyzing a wide variety of clinical cost and health care outcome data, five (5) years of experienceworking with a wide variety of clinical data, supervising analytic production work, and leading teams to plan and execute special projects within a large integrated healthcare environment.
Extensive knowledge of health care strategic, financial, clinical and operational analysis, databases, business intelligence concepts & applications. Working knowledge of Access, SQL, Excel (advanced pivot tables), SAP Business Objects Crystal Reports, Word, PowerPoint, Decision Support Systems, and BI tools such as Qlikview, Tableau, and data visualization tools such as Lumira, etc. EPIC experiencepreferred – working knowledge of Caboodle Data Warehouse, Workbench, Clarity, Radar, and Reporting Workbench Extract Templates, etc. Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to facilitate executive level meetings, and foster trust. Ability to present complex information to all levels of the organization. Demonstrated expert level analytical ability & skills to understand strategic, financial, quality, market, and clinical data, and has demonstrated the use of such data in decision-making. Excellent decision-making judgment and demonstrated understanding of strategic planning, quality and fiscal management. Demonstrated ability to create and develop collaborative relationships with physicians. Ability to present to senior leadership, physicians, service line leaders, etc. and engage in persuasive discussion with confidence. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
