The System Director of Nursing Education, Practice and Research is responsible for the development and oversight of nursing education, clinical evidence-based practice (EBP) and research initiatives that promote professional advancement across all Pinnacle Health Facilities under the Department of Nursing under the direction of the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. Responsibilities include but not limited to management of The Learning Institute, Nurse Residency Program, Career Development Pathway Program, student placement in all disciplines within the system including ancillary departments, Evidence Based nursing practice (EBP), and Nursing Research across the system. The position would collaborate with the Nursing Directors and other nursing leadership to implement and evaluate nursing practice and EBP; research projects; and to provide innovative nursing educational programs. Provides day-to-day supervision/management and leadership of the Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Nurse Professional Development Specialists (NPDS), and Nurse Manager for Education, practice, Clinical Staff Education and Simulation Lab. Establishes a comprehensive plan for the system wide Department of Nursing's educational and research needs.
Graduate of a professional school of nursing with current Pennsylvania licensure. Master's Degree in Nursing is required. Experience in educational program development and adult education is required. No less than 5years experience in education.
PhD in Nursing strongly preferred or in enrolled in a PhD program already. CNS track preferred. Certification in area of specialty preferred.
