Team Overview:

JLL's Public Institutions group ("PI") provides a wide range of real estate services to public agencies and higher education clients. We identify and implement strategies that allow organizations to fully leverage their real property in close alignment with their organizational missions. Our practice has grown rapidly over the past decade and is an industry leader in providing complex development advisory and portfolio planning services to mission-focused and public entities with a specialty in public-private partnerships. We work on some of the largest and most transformative real estate projects in the United States, providing services that include: real estate market and feasibility analysis, P3 advisory, real estate portfolio strategy, brokerage services, real estate development advisory, and transaction management and negotiations.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Vice President, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the Government, Education and Non-Profit Advisory team. You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the team, developing and leading teams, driving business development, and delivering exceptional advisory services to our clients.

In this role, you'll be expected to work closely with the senior leadership team of the Advisory business, manage a team of Vice Presidents and/or Associate Vice Presidents, lead significant client engagements, identify areas for growth and cultivate new client relationships, and use JLL's platform and capabilities to deliver an integrated service approach.

Key Responsibilities:

People
  • Manage a team of Vice Presidents, providing coaching, mentorship and advocacy;
  • Regularly meet with direct reports to understand capacity, address challenges and track progress against goals
  • Meet weekly as a people management team to align on national staffing and talent management issues
  • Work with project leads to staff projects effectively and efficiently
  • Participate in JLL's talent review and year end performance review process

Client
  • Drive significant combined managed revenue and sales
  • Lead large, prominent, multi-service contracts to support client relationships
  • Provide expert advice and oversight to project teams, including complex financial modeling and real estate concepts
  • Be a recognized leader in an area of specialization / technical ability
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to support conclusions and recommendations in deliverables.

Growth
  • Lead new business development pursuits and pitches
  • Drive collaboration and cross-selling within PI and across other JLL business lines
  • Actively market and promote JLL projects on social media and through networks
  • Expand existing client business
  • Provide executive oversight on proposals


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business or a related field.
  • Relevant Master's degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in real estate or infrastructure advisory, with a focus on government and/or higher education
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage significant business portfolios.
  • Passionate about solving complex challenges facing the public sector and higher education institutions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

200,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
