Chubb is seeking an experienced insurance executive to lead its International Corporate A&H business within the International Accident & Health (A&H) Division. This position will have full P&L accountability and management oversight for the Chubb Overseas General Corporate A&H business and will report to the Division President of International A&H. Candidates for the role should have a strong management record of leading teams to develop and grow corporate business with large international brokers. Successful applicants will have extensive experience leading sales and underwriting teams to develop creative solutions for large, complex corporate transactions. Specific management experience with profitably growing group personal accident insurance, business travel accident insurance, and/or commercial lines insurance with large distribution intermediaries is desired. The successful candidate will have deep experience driving broker distribution best practices, implementing and optimizing sales performance measurement processes—including internal and external incentive structures—and identifying and driving system improvements to increase ease of doing business and sales throughput for broker partners.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the International Corporate A&H business for Chubb.
Profitably grow net premiums and underwriting income.
Build and nurture relationships with the large international and local brokers to ensure that Chubb is represented in the market(s). Leverage deep broker relationships and connections to drive growth in the business.
Create and optimize incentives for sales staff and brokers.
Grow Chubb’s multinational corporate business and drive systematic cross sell of A&H into P&C clients.
Work with underwriting to assemble complex corporate A&H deals and reinsurance arrangements.
Drive a performance management and measurement culture and provide the local teams with regular feedback and support.
Reinforce underwriting strategy and discipline globally.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
BS/BA degree required.
10+ years of insurance management experience with a major carrier.
Track record of delivering profitable results.
Accustomed to and effective at driving change in a matrixed organization.
Pragmatic, collaborative, and culturally sensitive with the ability to influence senior managers across global markets.
Multi-line experience. Proven track record working with global brokers and international customers.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
