Description:This position within independent Global Consumer Risk is for a analyst with an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline. The position is reponsible for development and implementation of Credit Policy & Credit Strategy for Consumer Products that appropriately balances risk and reward within the Risk Appetite targets. The Credit Policy & Strategies are for driving one or more of the following: (a) New customer acquisition, (b) Existing customer management, and/or (c) Customer collections & recovery management. The development of strategies is fundamental to driving growth in the consumer portfolios and require that policies & strategies make sense from a customer perspective, are within Risk Appetite targets, and maximizes marketing spend. Experience and/or training required in the development and use of credit scoring models and other risk analytics in consumer lending, especially Branded & Co-Branded Credit Cards. Experience in international markets is a plus. Responsibilities will include developing analytics based risk strategies and segmentation to efficiently & effectively utilize credit scoring models, and providing analytic support to consumer and commercial businesses in the US and in International markets (especially Citi Banamex).Description / Responsibilities:• Use sophisticated anayltical techniques to develop customer rist strategies & segmentation schemes, profiles, and other analytically based tools for driving one or more of the following: (a) New customer Acquisition, (b) Existing Customer Management, and/or (c) Customer collections & recovery management.• Communicate policy changes and test recommendations, program approvals, MIS and performance trends with key stakeholders, senior management and external regulators.• Coordinate and collaborate with Policy Execution teams to ensure flawless execution of policy. • Understand the impacts of policy changes to operations and closely work with partners to mitigate impact. Design modules for advanced score development and analytical tools. • Participate in the implementation of sophisticated financial models in live operating environments within the organization. • Train line and operating personnel in experimental design principles, data management, financial tracking practices, and model usage and problem detection. • Assist internal businesses in the ongoing management and validation of their scores and score-based strategies.• Set the agenda for future growth of the channel by the innovative use of data and analytical techniques. • Responsible for developing / maintaining MIS & analytic routines that identify emerging risks in program and potential opportunities for growth. • Draft &communicate policy change/test recommendations, performance trends, MIS and other related information to audience ranging from key stakeholders, senior management to external regulators. • Coordinate with the Decision Management, Marketing, Operations, Modeling and the Risk Infrastructure(RI) teams in ensuring timely and flawless execution of strategies.


Qualifications:• Advanced Degree (Masters) in Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Engineering or other quantitative discipline • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk management, credit policy & strategy in financial services, especially, Branded & Co-Branded Credit Cards• Extensive coursework / experience in quantitative analysis & statistical modeling in consumer credit risk will be a plus.• Understanding of consumer credit risk management preferred• Understanding of Consumer Credit Profit & Loss Drivers preferred• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to prepare presentations for executive level audience and familiarity with Power Point, Excel, Visual Basic• An effective communicator with the ability to interact with all levels of management and to external audiences• Detailed-oriented, high level of intellectual curiosity and strong sense of ownership.• Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work against tight deadlines• Good business acumen and the ability to connect analytics with business decisions• Strong analytical skills with hands on experience driving credit strategy• Working knowledge and ability to communicate in Spanish will be a plus• Experience with Statistical Tools – SAS, SQL, Model Builder, Xeno, Knowledge Studio• Experience in international markets will be a plus.
