OFFICE LOCATION: Fresno


As a Survey Manager and seller-doer for the Fresno, CA office, you will join an existing team of surveyors with a strong backlog and history of supporting projects across the state and Survey Division as a whole. You will have responsibility for business growth and development as well as; the management, supervision, coordination of the project activities of survey staff in the field and in the office.The Survey Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and making presentations to clients for surveying and related services. In addition, the Survey Manager would work in collaboration with others to win multi-discipline projects that include surveying and engineering services. On an operational level, the Survey Manager also provides technical expertise in land surveying and mapping as well as; provides project management oversight to budgets, schedules, and quality control.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Collaborating with survey staff as a cohesive working unit to meet the needs of internal and external clients
  • Preparing winning proposals & presentations to clients for surveying services, as well as, other services provided by the Company
  • Completing projects within scope, budget, and schedule
  • Overseeing the preparation of mapping and surveys including topographic exhibits and property descriptions
  • Encouraging training for direct reports through participation in internal or external training opportunities
  • Maintaining communications with the Division Manager regarding project status, employee, and workload issues

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • AA or BS in Survey or Civil Engineering with survey emphasis
  • 8-10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated success in project and client management and winning projects
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, CAAD and adjustment software
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Effective written, verbal, and project management skills
