We are looking for a supervisor to direct and coordinate activities for the manufacturing area to insure on-time delivery, quality, and safety of Automation systems by performing the following duties, directly or through subordinate personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
• Provides direction to employees working in the assigned production areas and insures that products are in compliance with all applicable codes (e.g., UL).
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Establishes controls and insures accuracy of required inventory. Ensures that all material used in the assembly of a job is appropriately charged to the correct job
• Inspects machinery and equipment to insure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Coordinates testing for finish goods.
• Assigns duties to workforce, examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Implements quality processes and insures that employees perform self inspections as well as maintaining a clean and well organized work area at all times
• Performs administrative work necessary for proper documentation
• Performs operational equipment testing to all units manufactured to assure compliance with design and customer requirements
• Fosters and builds strong relationships within workforce as well as resolving complaints.

This position supervises all personnel in the Manufacturing area. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and 5+ years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
