JOB DESCRIPTION


The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to lead the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities as well as manage the daily activities of the maintenance department and outside contractors on premises. The Supervisor should have a vision supported by performance matrix for managing preventative and predictive maintenance activities to maximize overall equipment effectiveness. 
•Proactively lead preventative and predictive maintenance activities that drive cost savings and efficiency goals by increasing uptime and operational availability. 
•Establish departmental continuous improvement plans and performance matrix to be in alignment with plant goals. 
•Actively support safety efforts in the facility including but not limited to improving and enforcing the lockout / tag out programand aiding in the development of an arc flash programHighpriority must be placed on safety related work orders. 
• Lead department activities directing and controlling workactivities. Communicate priorities and ensure that work is completed correctly in an efficient manner. 
•Evaluate developmental needs of the department and establish training including apprenticeship program 
•Plan and quote plant and maintenance improvements and other budgetary requirements. Oversee repair activities to verify that root causes are determined and corrected 
•Meets budget goals, including P & E expenditures; major repair expenditures; maintenance labor; improving productivity; and assisting other departments by completing identified projects in a timely manner. 
•Establish effective business relations with suppliers, utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree requiredpreferably in Engineering or Business 
Minimum of 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment required 
•3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required 
Working knowledge and background of manufacturing and plant equipment required 
•Strong electrical background in PLC, controls, and industrial 480V 3 phase power required 
•Experience in upgrading and retrofitting older equipment especially high voltage equipment such as induction hardeners required 
•Experience in induction heat treat, forming, welding and CNC experience required 
MS Office applications experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
