The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the daily leadership and execution of salvage yard operations, off-site storage, material disposition, and plant clearance activities for the 819 Logistic Operation. This role ensures full compliance with RTX procedures and government property requirements while leading a high-performing team in a classified environment. You will work onsite at the 819 Airport RTX Facility.
What You Will Do
- Lead daily salvage yard operations in a secure, classified environment, including receipt, inspection, segregation, storage, and disposition of materials.
- Directly supervise 1–5 warehouse, logistics, and analyst personnel supporting salvage yard, off-site storage, and distribution activities.
- Own labor planning, performance management, shift coverage, and corrective actions for the team.
- Lead daily Tier stand-ups, drive weekly performance metrics, and support talent development and onboarding for team members.
- Mentor team members on DFARS/FAR property compliance, discrepancy resolution, and plant clearance processes.
- Ensure full inventory accuracy, material accountability, and timely disposition of property across programs.
- Manage induction, storage, and disposition of production material, government property, and salvage assets.
- Support program closeouts through effective material disposition and plant clearance execution.
- Drive operational excellence by delivering zero backlog, on-time processing, and continuous improvement initiatives in the salvage yard and off-site storage areas.
- Partner with Programs, Planners, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to ensure material availability and mission success.
- Champion safety and security by enforcing Explosive Safety, OSHA, DOT, DoD, and RTX standards, including proper hazardous material handling.
- Lead through change, peak demand periods, and corrective actions while supporting succession planning for key team roles.
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with all document retention and regulatory requirements.
- This is a 1st shift, onsite position.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
- Experience leading or supervising a team in logistics, warehousing, or material handling operations.
- Experience with Supply Chain, Logistics, Property Management, or Operations in a regulated environment.
- U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with WMS / MRP systems (SAP or PRISM preferred).
- Experience working in a cross-functional and/or bargaining unit environment.
- Experience working with hazardous materials and associated safety protocols.
- Previous material accountability, disposition, or plant clearance experience across multiple projects.
- Experience developing and executing root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with regulations such as CFR, DFAR, FAR, ITAR, DoD, OSHA, and DSS.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
