Build and maintain networks consisting of a mix of physical and virtual equipment.
Configure and administer next generation firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, McAfee) and suggest new rules, routines, and indicators of compromise.
Build and maintain complex Linux systems running CentOS and hardened to meet operational standards
Enable orchestration and automation of the entire system from start to maintenance through Puppet, Kickstart, and Bash/Python scripts.
Troubleshoot systems and networks to maintain efficiency and uptime.
Create and update health and status monitoring solutions to always know weak points.
Set up or assist with Microsoft environments (e.g. Group Policy, Active Directory), container technologies like Docker, and Gluster/libvirt Linux knowledge/abilities.
Support cyber ranges consisting of 100s to 1000s of Windows VMs using open source and commercial software.
Exercise infrastructures primarily using VMware products.
Lead network engineering efforts through subject matter expertise.
Work collaboratively with other team members to solve challenging problems, research new and effective solutions, and identify avenues for innovation
12 years systems engineering experience; up to 6 years may be substituted for education (4 years for a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, an additional 2 years for a master's degree)
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) Certification
Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance plus poly
Experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems
Experience with Linux
Experience with server hardware troubleshooting
Experience with PCAP and Netflow Data Collection
Experience with TCP/IP routing and switching
Experience with standard network services—DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog, etc.
Experience with VMware VSphere suite—ESXi, vCenter
Experience with Cisco routers and switches
Experience with Cisco DMVPN
Experience with ASA firewall with remote access VPN connections
