Hot Section Engineering (HSE) at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for an experienced and highly-motivated Structures Engineer to join its team in support of the NGPF engine programs. In this role, the structures engineering will be responsible for leading a team of 2 to 6 engineers in completing technical assessments and analyses necessary to support design, development, validation, production implementation and management of new commercial jet engines. The Structures Engineer will work with the various HSE static and rotating structures hardware.

In this role, the Structures Engineer will lead and directly supervisor a small structures team working tasks and challenging problems focused on engine safety, reliability, capability, robustness and affordability. The Structures Engineer will also be expected to lead outsourcing resources and team with others outside HSE. Qualification: *Education / Certifications

A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in industry required. Strong proficiency and a demonstrated record of accomplishments in the structures discipline is expected. A broad understanding of the components owned by HSE and the associated analytical approaches applied to turbine airfoils, rotors, shafts, frames/cases, combustors and/or exhaust systems is desired. Proven history in leading or materially contributing to component and/or system root cause and/or safety investigations is preferred. Good communication and leadership skills are essential to be successful in this role.

B.S. degree in engineering is the minimum requirement for this position. Advanced degrees may benefit the candidate
