Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) is an employee-owned, nationally recognized consulting engineering, planning, and infrastructure solutions firm.
We are actively seeking a Structural Project Engineer (Water & Wastewater) to join our dedicated team of professionals in Harrisburg, PA. As a Structural Project Engineer (Water & Wastewater), key responsibilities include:
· Lead structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs.
· Prepare accurate design calculations, drawings, and specifications for projects.
· Apply expert knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, codes, and procedures with the structural engineering industry.
· Lead field investigations, inspections, and/or feasibility studies
· Prepare technical reports, and cost estimates.
· Provide QA/QC of calculations, drawings, and specifications prepared by other staff.
· Participate in development of project schedule, scope, and budget.
· Review of shop drawings, submittals, and other construction administration duties for project needs
Requirements
· Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
· Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license with an ability to obtain one in other states
· 5+ years of project experience including:
o Wastewater pumping stations
o Water treatment plants
o Other industrial facilities
· Strong knowledge of structural engineering concepts including the design of steel, concrete, and masonry
· Experience with cast-in-place concrete tank design is plus
· Knowledge of, RISA-3D, AutoCAD and Revit is a plus
· Has the flexibility for occasional travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices
· Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
