Our client provides innovative multidisciplinary engineering solutions through thedevelopment of advanced mechanical and aerospace technologies for sea, ground, air, andspace-based prototype systems for national security applications. Examples include thedevelopment of structural-material systems for space borne imaging and lasercommunication terminals, heat exchangers for high-flux laser and RF solid-state devices,and aerodynamic designs and multifunctional materials for UAV platforms. Engineeringsolutions are developed through the utilization of appropriate technologies coupled withhigh-fidelity models and multidisciplinary simulations, environmental and performancecharacterization testing, and the utilization and development of advanced materials tooptimize solutions to meet ever increasing performance, size, weight, and environmentalchallenges.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involvingmetals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operationof product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics,power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, producibility, cost, safety, design allowable andstructural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamicsand loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Utilizes and validates 3-Dand digital modeling to communicate and support production. Tools utilized such asCATIA, IDEAS, Siemens PLM Software NX, ProEngineer, NASTRAN, FEMAP,
Rec-Form4 Rev3 15 September 2011ANSYS and a variety of analytical software applications.
