We are currently seeking an experienced Strategist to join the team, who will conduct rigorous market analysis, provide insight and guidance on business improvement efforts, and aid in the definition of long-term strategic plans for the Collaboration business. In this role, you will help answer key strategic questions and drive value-creating insights by conducting rigorous analysis and shaping compelling executive-level messaging.


  • Closely follow and measure Collaboration market dynamics, size and growth trends, and its competitive landscape
  • Identify key customer needs that span multiple Collaboration sub-businesses, and assess opportunities for growth and business transformation
  • Aid the strategy team in coordination with cross-functional teams to guide initial implementation of critical plans
  • Drive analysis to deliver insights and recommendations around the most valuable growth opportunities, business models, and operational initiatives
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of strategic inorganic targets that accelerate business growth
  • Interpret business strategy impact, and communicate findings to senior management and to the broader Cisco organization


  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; preferred backgrounds in management consulting, market research, VC/PE, and/or business strategy in a technology company
  • BA or BS from a top tier school; MBA (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct fact-based market analysis, build clear and concise presentations, and communicate effectively with executives
  • Excellence in all areas of strategy development, including project management, business analysis, data modeling, and consensus building
  • Ability to work well within a tight-knit team while at the same time taking personal initiative to accomplish objectives independently
  • Mastery of productivity office tools, especially presentation and spreadsheet software (e.g. PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and executive presence
  • Intellectually curious, quick thinker with an insatiable desire to learn and grow in a dynamic team-oriented, creative environment
