JOB SUMMARY: Provides executive leadership in planning, organizing and directing all strategic and business planning, and legislative relations for all System entities. Provides administrative oversight to Physician Services, Community Outreach and Population Health Initiatives. Ensures effective and efficient use of all resources to support and promote the mission, vision and values of the organization. Responsible for providing senior leadership oversight development of local ambulatory strategy. Responsible for strategic planning, and physician outreach. In addition, will work closely with the President/Chief Executive Officer to continuously identify and develop new business relationships and opportunities for the Health System.

What You Need to Be Successful:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education & Training: Master’s Degree in healthcare administration or related field
Work Orientation & Experience: At least ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience commensurate with experiential requirements for leadership peers. Demonstrated work experience in planning, business development and strategy, in organizations of similar size and scope.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to apply effective communication, collaboration and negotiation skills when working with team members, physicians, Board members, community, patients and families, public, and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively plan priorities and set reasonable organization goals and objectives. Ability to make independent decisions consistent with current policies, procedures, and health care standards. Ability to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the Hospital and System. Demonstrates critical thinking skills in complex problem solving. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills. Demonstrates the ability to effectively lead during periods of change. Works effectively with UMMS System Leadership to advance system-wide goals and objectives.
