This strategic role will service Field Sales Direct Markets to help ensure that sales and service goals are achieved based on the overall needs of the market. The principle objective is to work as a strategic consultant within the assigned regions to grow Key Performance Indicators. The SSM will proactively consult and collaborate with Field and Inside Regional Sales Managers by analyzing market needs and developing sales strategies to help exceed their goals. The SSM assesses the market needs with their internal clients and makes recommendations to effectively execute a “measurable” plan.  Weekly Market Recaps and Salesforce.comreporting are utilized to measure results.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Coach sales personnel on how to effectively sell, plan and service all products
  • Collaborate with sales management on individual market initiatives and needs
  • Generate revenue in any sales environment or region
  • Provide weekly market reports and Salesforce.comreports to internal customers
  • Communicate effectively with sales leadership
  • Communicate important company initiatives and programs to internal and external customers
  • Motivate sales personnel to grow KPI’s
  • Coordinate with Director, RSM and local sales teams to ensure effective in-market visits occur with a clear plan put in place for ride-along schedule, appointment setting, resource coordination, training, etc.
  • Objectively observe and report to management on all opportunities witnessed in market while conducting four-legged calls
  • Serve as interim Regional Sales Manager on an as needed basis

 Required Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • A history of excellence in the face of challenge and opportunity
  • A history of, and passion for, problem solving and delivering best possible results
  • Proven track record of driving results and leading within a team environment
