Overview

The Strategic Reinvestment Program Leader is responsible for managing the development and construction process for major projects at existing Chick-fil-A locations. The projects include Free-standing Restaurants, Drive-thru Only Restaurants, and In-line Restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Strategic Reinvestment Team, Asset Management, Facilities & Equipment. 
  • Interacts with Regional Operations, Design, and Real Estate.
  • Lead Outsource Construction Services partners to:
    • Manage / lead surveyors, sign vendors and geotechnical / environmental partners in conducting due diligence on proposed new stores
    • Manage / lead civil engineers, architects, sign vendors, traffic consultants, land use attorneys, etc. through the project approvals process
    • Manage general contractors and vendors in the timely cost effective execution of projects
    • Value engineer site plans and develop project cost estimates to aid in decision making
    • Represent CFA at public hearings as part of the project approval process
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with focus on the Operator, quality, construction time and value
    • Ensure proper contract administration on all projects
  • Identify, select and train new partners
  • Provide ongoing feedback and development for partners via scorecards and performance feedback
  • Create plan and budgets for work in region and ensure good stewardship / accountability
  • Focus on building strong Operator relationships and creating great Operatorexperiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Project Management: Retail, Restaurant, Gas / Convenience Store / Commercial
  • Ability to represent CFA at public hearings
  • Ability to negotiate project costs
  • Ability to schedule individual and multiple projects
  • Ability to communicate clear expectations and achieve quality and scheduling objectives
  • Ability to accomplish results through others
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering documents
  • Ability to communicate in technical terms
  • Ability to build work teams to accomplish goal
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen both in and outside of the workplace
  • Self-motivated to constantly and continuously improve
  • Strong work ethic
  • Highly organized
  • Computer skills (Microsoft office)
