Position Purpose:The Strategic Philanthropic Advisor will build an engagement program to align TASC’s Corporate Shared Responsibility philosophy TASC philanthropic investing and the interests of the TASC Family Foundation with TASC stakeholders. The role is vital to providing TASC stakeholders with information about community needs and the programs meetings those needs, develop skills related to charitable giving, connect with other fund holders/donors, and participate in co-investment and pooled giving opportunities.  This position aligns TASC’s philanthropy efforts for social responsibility including social investments, charitable contributions, volunteer engagement and corporate sponsorship on a local, national, internal and community facing basis.  This position aligns with TASC values to advance a professional inclusive work environment that promotes philanthropy.  The individual will work closely with senior leadership on philanthropic direction, and will be responsible for engaging all levels of the organization to facilitate and promote TASC’s philanthropic efforts.  This position will manage a wide variety of employee leader committees that fall under the TASC Cares umbrella.    Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic programming plan that addresses fund-holder/donor interests and promotes impactful community philanthropy
  • Develop and implement a fund-holder communications plan in coordination with TASC’s Marketing, Communications & Public Relations Department.

This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday with core hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The position will report to our Total Rewards Manager.

Positional Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage and maintain TASC Cares policies and procedures
  • Manage TASC Cares annual budget and process – 3% of EBITA
  • Work directly with external charitable agencies and partners on local and national levels 
  • Educate and engage the community and new/ tenured TASC employees in the philanthropic efforts at the core of TASC’s mission to promote an engaged and community-minded workforce by providing:  
    • Program training/orientation (i.e., TASC Cares programs, Insider communications, Brown Bag sessions, etc.) 
    • Opportunities and Awareness related to Volunteer activities
    • Committee engagement  
    • Various charitable campaigns (i.e., United Way, American Heart Association, etc.) 
    • Craft and execute solicitation strategies for individual and group engagement to create a long-term stewardship plan involving written communications, including specific reporting on outcomes achieved because of individual and group philanthropic support
  • Oversight and serve as subject matter expert of variety of committees, including but not limited to: 
    • Employee Philanthropy and associated programs 
    • TASC Cares and associated programs 
    • Achiever and associated programs 
    • Environmental & Safety and associated programs
    • Remote Worker and associated programs 
  • Develop recognition program, segmenting different levels of giving and providing performance input and incentives recommendations based on engagement level and committee responsibilities
  • Serve as a philanthropic ambassador for TASC to the communities we serve
  • Operate within TASCs guidelines pursuant to the Employee Handbook and all Policies and Procedures 
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Manager and/or Management  

Position Supervises:

  • None - Oversees committee(s) of volunteers to achieve philanthropic goals

  • Highly organized and outgoing individual to support fundraising, communication and engagement within our communities, with our employees and with our partners
  • Project management – Effectively manage multiple projects with an emphasis on TASCs multiple employee audiences (i.e., regional, remote, corporate setting). Budgeting skills and experience in event planning
  • Outstanding Communicator – Effective, professional communication with internal and external audiences. Articulate, proven ability to write and speak persuasively.  Experience in public speaking
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strategic, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Strategic thinker – Ability to strategically align TASC Cares programs with corporate philanthropy
  • Comfortable with a start-up like culture, where multiple priorities and agendas evolve through collaboration and emerge opportunistically
  • Genuinely enjoys engaging donors and the fundraising process
  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and engage effectively with successful and opinionated leaders
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with standard software programs, fundraising databases, and database reporting systems
  • Possesses a high degree of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Intellectually curious, with demonstrated interest across a broad range of ideas and disciplines, active in one’s personal pursuits and open to learning

Qualifications:

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of progressively responsible, professional experience in Human Resources or another related field. (Demonstrated emphasis on employee engagement and/or corporate philanthropy required)
  • Demonstrated personal knowledge of community philanthropy
