The Highlights
The Strategic Managed Services Sales Specialist is a field-based consultative sales position responsible for growing market share and driving product penetration rates for Managed Network Services, Hosted Voice and SD-WAN solutions. Individuals in this position will sell to existing and prospective clients by highlighting how Spectrum Enterprise's innovative business solutions satisfy their growing complex technology and communication needs. This position will both sell direct and also partner with local sales teams to define and execute team-based selling strategies.
What You Will Do

  • Utilize a proven track record of successfully selling Managed Router and Firewall services, Hosted Voice solutions, and SD-WAN technology-based solutions
  • Serve as an experienced, focused, performance-driven regional evangelist to drive sales of the Hosted Voice, MS and SD WAN product sets
  • Engage with Product in the development and advancement of service attributes
  • Leverage experience to Identify target markets, industries and contacts to drive Managed Router and Firewall services, Hosted Voice solutions and SD-WAN technology sales across an assigned territory
  • Self-generates leads through networking, cold calling, premise visits and industry events being mindful of prospects for new and upsell opportunities
  • Ability to prospect independently and in a team format
  • Develop and implement sales plans to meet and exceed sales goal for an assigned territory by positioning themselves as the Spectrum Enterprise solution expert for Managed Network Services, Hosted Voice and SD-WAN products
  • Develop client-centric solutions for complex managed services
  • The Strategic Managed Service Specialist will have a commanding presentation style, often leading face-to-face consultative meetings with C-Level/Business owners, highlighting product features, attributes and conduct product demos
  • Work in conjunction withAccount Executives, Account Management, Sales Engineering, and Marketing in developing and executing team selling strategies
  • Negotiate contracts and conversations with C-Level/Business owners
  • Work with Account Management team to ensure timely handoff of sold accounts for ongoing management and retention
  • Maintain all sales databases necessary to report sales activity and client information.
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions
  • Perform additional duties related to this position as assigned

Required Keys for Success

  • Five or more years of telecommunications business-to-business sales experience
  • Three or more years of experience in premise-based sales of Data, Hosted Voice and Managed Service solutions
  • Industry recognized applicable certifications like Cisco / Broadsoft / Fortinet / Nuage and/or Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Certifications
  • Expert understanding of Managed Network Service Solutions, specifically Hosted Voice, Managed Router, Managed Security. Experience selling SD-Wan a plus
  • Prior experience presenting to the C-Suite/Business Owner required with demonstrated ability to develop client-centric solutions and deliver proposals to CIO, CTO, etc.
  • Skilled in quickly conducting consultative analysis and providing recommendations
  • Proven record as top sales performer and closer, exceeding revenue goal
  • Collaborative team member, able to multitask and manage change
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM and billing systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio
  • Coachable, with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Valid and active State driver’s license and safe driving record required

How You Will Stand Out from the Crowd

  • Five or more years of telecommunications business-to-business sales experience
  • Three or more years of selling service based solutions in a business-to-business environment
  • Experience with LAN and WAN technologies, Managed Router and Firewall services, Hosted Voice solutions, SD-WAN technology and Cloud-based solutions
  • Industry recognized applicable certifications like Cisco / Broadsoft / Fortinet / Nuage and Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Certifications
  • Confidence in communicating technical information to high-level clients
  • Ability to establish trusted consultative relationships with clients
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry and emerging technology trends
  • Deadline-driven in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Motivated by a commission based model
