The role of the Strategic Insights Manager in Pella’s Business Insights Department is to bring expert strategic and conceptual thinking skills and strong analytics skills to help shape strategy and tactic development by delivering relevant, actionable insights to business leaders and decision makers in the organization.
The Strategic Insights Manager provides the connection between Pella’s high-priority initiatives and internal and external data analytics, and research. Most work will be directly related to Pella corporate strategy and the company’s highest-priorities projects spanning all areas of the business, with concentration in marketing and sales.
In addition, the Strategic Insights Manager will directly lead a team of 3-5 team members that includes specialists and possibly functional managers. In this capacity, the Strategic Insights Manager will be responsible for coaching in projects, daily activity and team member development. This position will also serve as project leader on a variety of initiatives, leading cross-functional team members from all levels of the organization, including senior managers, directors and executives.
Indirectly, this position will serve as one of the key leaders in the broader Corporate Strategy and Business Insights team. Often, the Strategic Insights Manager will lead projects involving analytics specialists and data experts from the Business Insights and Data Warehouse teams.
A successful candidate for this position must be an experienced, high-energy, strategy-oriented leader that can effectively guide team members through change needed to meet Pella’s growth targets. This candidate must be comfortable embracing uncertainty, ambiguity and risk themselves, as well as be able to coach the team through those elements.
The successful candidate will possess well-rounded business acumen fortified with depth and breadth of strategy and analytics experience in a variety of business challenges. This position also requires a functional understanding of core analytics and research methodologies and tools, as well as have a working knowledge of related financial, mathematics and statistic disciplines.
Exceptional prioritization and project management skills are also critical. Also, the right candidate must should ability to leverage influence and effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinking and planning experience (5-7 years)
Leadership experience (3+ years; significant, sustained project leadership experience may be a proxy)
