Mission: As part of the Life Science Optics Operations team this person is responsible for managing strategic projects defined by the organizations Goal Deployment Initiatives. Success in this role will be measured against standard project management goals of schedule, budget, and business outcomes. This role will also set up and track monthly targets to improve while providing cross functional leadership to achieve the desired business objectives.
Champion and lead technical strategic projects for IDEX IH&S.
Work with project teams to develops overall project plan and resource requirements.
May lead one or more sub-teams of a program, including specific indications
Management of project team members from the various other functional areas assigned to a specific program (includes team meetings, presentations, communications to teams and meeting minutes etc.).
Review and monitor program/project activities against definition, schedule and costs. Including the monitoring budgets and forecasts as required.
Inform management in a timely manner of any project roadblocks to the project objectives so that appropriate action may be taken.
Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans and manage a change team that includes specialists in change, communications and training.
Manage day-to-day activities of implementation team(s) including both internal and external resources.
Background and Qualifications:
Bachelordegree in science required with 5-7 + years of related experience.
3 - 5 years project / program management experience with preferredexperience in managing highly technical projects, technology transfers, and/or IT systems
Prior training in project management. PMI certification is preferred but not required.
Proven, hands-on, results-oriented manager with demonstrated leadership skills across functional lines and a participatory style of working effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Ability to communicate and interact at all levels from senior management to staff level.
Ability to translate customer requirements into measurable design goals/input.
The role requires excellent communication skills as the candidate must be able to effectively interact with a variety of individuals at all levels and locations within our company, as well as with Senior Leaders from customer and key supplier organizations.
Person must be a hands-on, dynamic, and capable of leading change in start-up, turn-around, and sustaining business environments.
Preference will be given to candidates that have led implementation teams in the development of JDE applications in coordination with business. Including the design of a new systems and modifications to existing systems to meet user requirements.
