Job Description

Cerner is growing and looking to hire a Strategic Development Executive to join our Health Network Services sales team! In this position you will drive new business sales within large multi-facility health systems across a designated territory. You will establish a network of relationships within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), Accountable Care Organizations, and Clinically Integrated Networks to develop new sales opportunities, analyze market and competitive intelligence to develop sales strategies for complex client opportunities and build and maintain relationships at all levels within the client organization.

You will consult with prospective clients on Cerner solutions and services, develop and progress sales proposals that address the specific needs of the client organization and coordinate across multiple sales channels. In addition, you will drive proposals and deals at the market or country level, lead contract negotiations and manage pipeline and forecast to drive sales opportunities to closure against a sales quota

This specific role is focused on Value Based Care where you will be selling Cerner solutions and services to new health system accounts, Accountable Care Organizations and Clinically Integrated Networks to help them achieve their organizational goals around Population Health, improved care, shared savings and alternative payment models.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care or related field, or relevant equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of health care information technology (HCIT) project management, sales or consulting work experience
  • At least 3 years of general business or government work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of proven strategic solution selling in healthcare information technology
