The mission of the office of Strategic Communications is to defend and promote the reputation of the President and, by extension, the company, Pratt & Whitney. We develop and implement strategic messaging through innovative, eye-catching, and compelling visuals (presentations, photos, and videos) personalized for targeted internal and external audiences. We prepare intelligence (speaker’s notes, digital briefings / “white papers,” talking points, and responses to Q&A) in support of the P&W Office of the President and senior most UTC leadership with consistent messaging. We equip leadership with internal key performance indicators and external market data, and provide analysis to support decision-making and business strategy.

Our strategic priorities are to enable the President to effectively communicate our business status and objectives, transform our culture, position the company as the engine and employer of choice, and to meet shareholder expectations. Our deliverables are used by the President at Board of Directors meetings, Analysts and Investors events, OMMs, Air Shows, Media / customer / supplier / VIP sessions, and employee / Business Unit gatherings at the highest level of the company and corporation.

As a member of our high-functioning team, you will deliver effective executive level communications support within a rapidly changing global schedule, with frequent re-prioritization of objectives, and in a high-pressure, time critical environment. Reporting to the Associate Director of Strategic Communications, you will be responsible for managing the creation and preparation of the lead executive’s presentations and support. To do this, you will develop and manage effective indirect / cross functional reporting relationships with partners and leaders across P&W, including the P&W President.

You will manage, with strong support, the P&W Executive Leadership Conference event and provide on-site support for executive presentations, as needed. In support of the Chairman and CEO of UTC, you will coordinate and publish P&W’s contribution for UTC’s quarterly earnings releaseconference call with analysts and investors and other UTC meetings, as requested. Support materials include relevant back-up information, ad hoc research, industry analysis, strategic assessment, and direct graphic-design support.

Additionally, you will assist with project management and provide document revision control support. As a member of our high performance team, you are expected to take initiative; be creative; set goals; and work hard to deliver flawless executive support in a fast-paced environment; managing multiple priorities; and consistently meeting deadlines, while maintaining the highest level of quality, with minimal editing / rework.

Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?

·Bachelor's Degree is required.

· You are a US Citizen (Required due to government contracts)

· You have 5 or more years of professional corporate communications experience

How about any of these Preferred Qualifications?

· Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing is preferred.

· You have 5 or more years of professional corporate communications experience along with in-depth knowledge of Aerospace Industry, Business acumen, and Strategic-thinking / problem-solving

·We will consider highly motivated applicants that have less than 5 years of experience at a lower level (P-3) position. The final labor grade level for this position will assigned commensurate with your experience and qualifications

· Proven experience creating presentations (incl. data analysis and chart manipulation), document formatting and messaging Proficient in all MS Office applications, incl. SharePoint; Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat

· Experience with event logistics and technical needs of executives

· Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, with ability to deal effectively with people at all organization levels; Expert written and verbal communications skills

· Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Associate Certification is strongly preferred along with a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments

· Executive presence comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership
