As a Strategic Client Partner, you are responsible for creating and driving innovative and technically sound strategies to support and grow relationships with some of the world’s leading retail and hospitality brands. You will coordinate across internal and external engineering, creative, and strategic teams to develop unique and on-brand digital experiences that add value to a portfolio of existing clients, as well as their customers. You are a self-starter who thrives under pressure and can manage multiple projects and deadlines. You have a unique blend of practical technical knowledge and business acumen, and are as comfortable discussing web/app frameworks and architecture as you are business terms and pricing. You love all things technical, and keep up with the latest innovations and industry trends. You must be comfortable presenting to executive level teams, and knowledgeable enough about web technologies and business strategies to defend your position. Travel is required (approximately 20%). Ultimately, we are looking for a technical individual who is motivated, strategic, and, above all, a team player.
Run client discovery sessions to diagnose business issues, latent needs, and/or technology pain points and translate these into compelling a vision and roadmap
Develop comprehensive digital solution strategies that deliver on existing client needs and requirements, while uncovering opportunities to improve digital properties
Generate roadmaps, proposals, and close SOW’s
Coordinate across technical, data science, creative, and finance teams to analyze client performance and to build strategies for improvement
Identify, connect, and actively engage with influencers and decision makers inside an organization
Understand and keep up with retail and eCommerce industries and technologies, as well as the competitive landscape
Confidence in presentation and relationship skills
Ability to travel on short notice (approximately 20%)
Interest in learning how to negotiate pricing & close contracts (with support of senior management)
Desired Skills & Experience
Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) in computer science, information science, or relevant experience
5+ years of work in enterprise level sales, technical account management, or as a technical or product lead
Familiarity with eCommerce technologies and platforms
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Comfortable interacting with and managing enterprise-level clients at the executive level
Strong organizational and time management skills
High level of initiative and ability to work autonomously and cross functionally
Comfortable with digital technologies, focusing on mobile websites and native applications (iOS and Android)
Creative problem solving
Experience with programming languages, frameworks, and processes (e.g., nodeJS, objective C, Swift, Java, React) is preferred
Experience with managing a portfolio of digital products across a client base is a plus
