A10 Networks is one of the most innovative and “hottest” cloud and application security services companies in the Silicon Valley today. In order to accelerate our security portfolio growth with technology partners, we are looking for a high energy and experienced solution architect to join us in a Strategic Alliances Technical Solution Architect role based in San Jose, California.

The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Systems Engineering and will be responsible for leading and supporting the technical aspects of the A10 Technical Integration Partner (TIP) program and the technical work streams of specific partnerships. In this role, the Strategic Alliances Technical Solution Architect will architect integrations and differentiated joint security and virtualization solutions with our technology partners which can be leveraged in the cloud service provider, telco and enterprise market worldwide. Close collaboration with A10 Product Management, Sales and Systems Engineering across the global organization to share new best practices and security and use cases.

This vital position is based in San Jose, CA and will require up to 50% travel, primarily in the US with occasional trips to Europe and Asia. Ready to join a high-energy team and drive pro-actively sales and innovation – join us @ A10 Networks!

Job Overview:

• Defining new security and virtualization solutions (DDoS, Security, containers, VM’s, openstack, 5G, NFV) with new and existing technology partners for the private cloud, telco cloud and large enterprises

• Working with Strategic Alliances and Business Development team, Product Management, Sales, Systems Engineering and Development Engineering to help prioritize needed integrations

• Scoping with technology partners new specific integration use cases and communicate these requirements to Product Management

• Supporting technology partner development efforts as they integrate their technology with our solutions

• Delivering new technology partner software integrations together with engineering to expedite demonstration of new use cases and solutions

• Enabling field SE’s on technology partner integrations and answering technical questions from the field

• Supporting Strategic Alliances team as they engage with technology partners to explore joint solutions, enable partner technical resources on the joint solution, be the external facing, technical point of reference for partner integrations

• Providing Marketing with technical content for joint technology partner solutions collateral (joint solution briefs, configuration guides, webinars, etc.)

• Working with Product Management to guide the ongoing security and cloud virtualization product development strategy and integration capabilities


• In-depth knowledge of the Cyber Security and Cloud Computing Technologies & Virtualization marketplace and players with an emphasis on DDoS mitigation, Security and Virtualization technologies

• Ability to be consultative and find “win/win” solutions for A10 and our technology partners

• Strong technical knowledge of application security, networking, operating systems, API and SDK usage, cloud, virtual machines and containers

• Vast hands-on experience designing and delivering software integrations with technology partners in the security and virtualization space

• Experience with industry leading hypervisors, cloud orchestration tools, and performance acceleration technologies such as OVS-DPDK, and SR-IOV.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner

• Ability to create documents and presentations that clearly articulate what joint solutions and use cases are and the value that they provide

• Ability to take ownership and drive the components of the integration process that the Solution Architect is responsible for

• The ability to be strategic in thinking and tactical in execution

• Minimum five years’ experience in an externally facing, senior technical role

• Prior Solution Architect Experience Preferred

• Senior Sales Engineer supporting an enterprise private cloud and/ or telco cloud focused, solution selling process for security and virtualization
• Technical evangelist for a security and virtualization product company

• Technical Product Management

• Integration product management

• Senior implementation consultant for a security product company

• Solid work ethic, customer focused, team player, with passion for success

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
